Main thing was to have a confortable room at a friendly hotel, well located for where we wanted to be with a nice breakfast, it fulfilled all of these criteria
Dislikes:
Walls a bit thin, very noisy (snoring) neighbour, not sure you can do much about that.

Breakfast was top dollar, plenty to eat and fast service. The common areas of the guest house were also good. Staff were friendly and delt with enquires promptly.
Dislikes:
I was in a room in the back which was a little small for two people, the beds are a little bouncy! The shower room was tired.

The Hotel boasts 18 bedrooms, 5 of which are conveniently situated on the ground floor. All bedrooms are centrally heated and offer en-suite shower rooms, colour television, hospitality tray and hair dryers. The Hotel also boasts a large car park at the rear of the Hotel.
All communal rooms are tastefully decorated and sympathetic to the Victorian heritage of the hotel. The large spacious non-smoking dining room is the perfect place to enjoy a hearty Somerton Lodge breakfast or a quiet candlelit five course evening meal. Why not enjoy a drink from our well stocked spacious bar or just relax in the peace and tranquillity of the non-smoking dry lounge.The spacious beautiful south facing gardens are a lovely place to enjoy the morning sun over a cup of tea or you may wish to relax and read a paper on the sun terrace.
