Fluffy white towels. Spotlessly clean bathroom. A warm welcome. Unobtrusive attention to detail. Good food at the end of the day. An excellent breakfast to fuel our planned walks.

The Inn is very conveniently located close to the Channel Tunnel(15 mins away)set in beautiful countryside. The food is good and staff are friendly. Ground floor room has it's own little 'garden'.
Dislikes:
Bed very uncomfortable(kind of "fold away" bed) & room noisy: ceiling groans and creaks as if it were about to give way & kitchen is next door.Bathroom is like one you'd find in a hospital.. not nice

It has had a long and varied history until the present licensees took charge in 2014. The current owners have managed to forge their own mark on this 16th Century Freehouse.

We have a full home-made menu available, ranging from home-made pies, home-cooked ham, burgers, steaks and good old fish and chips! Full menu available Tuesday to Saturday 12-3pm & 6-9pm, then sunday roast available from 12-5pm.

For those not content to just relax in front of the log fire in the huge old inglenook or play a quiet game of cards, dominoes or shut-the-box, there is an unusual hexagonal rotating pool table. Added to this is an extensive rural garden and South facing front sun terrace which is covered and heated on those more typical English summer days!

As the home of one of Kent's most popular Beer Festivals, four top condition Real Ales are always available. The house beer is Fullers London Pride, the others include Kentish ales. We offer a wide range of Lagers, Wines and Spirits.
