Breakfast in adjoining brasserie , not clear what was on offer as just handed a menu , wasn't sure if I could have cereal plus cooked breakfast . Breakfast was very good .

Found the bath under the sloping ceiling tricky to use , wasn't aware of this particular quirk to the room on booking

Staff were very friendly, the food was lovely and the hotel was exceptional clean
Dislikes:
We were in a room at the top of the stairs, so had all the traffic of the other rooms going by, cleaning started a bit early at 6:45, too early! Room very nice but congested

Being in the heart of the city it is also only a stones throw away from all of the shops, restaurants and bars. Being tucked away from the High St though it remains quieter than other spots.

It is also only a 10 minute walk from Canterbury West station allowing for easy access to all the surrounding areas and a 50 minute train journey into London.
The Hotel itself is filled with historic architecture and character. Regardless of this it still offers all of the modern necessities needed such as free WiFi, digital TV and radio, Tea and coffee making facilities and modern bath and shower in every room.

It also houses two very popular restaurants and a traditional low beamed English bar with real local ales.
