The Black Pig is the perfect place to unwind , relax and enjoy the delights of Kent, or why not try your hand at a round of golf on one of the many golf courses in the area.

We are a family-friendly establishment with five en-suite rooms available: 2 Doubles, 1 Twin, 1 Family and 1 Single all with en-suite facilities, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers and of course the must have free Wi Fi.

Delicious home cooked food - locally sourced - is served on a daily basis, which can be eaten in one of our many dining areas, and should the sun be out - out side in our south facing large garden. Amoungst a wide range of lagers and fine wines, we have 3 cask ales - one of which changes on a regular basis.

A Function room is also available for for Wedding Receptions, Parties and Special Occasions.

The building has a very interesting history. As the story goes, the timbers which were used to build the pub came from The Spanish Armada (known to the English as The Black Pigs - hense the name) wrecked off the the Kent coast in 1588. Although it is thought that some part of the building dates further back.

The Black Pig is situated in the picturesqe hamlet of Barnsole, Kent. Located near the historic city of Canterbury, the medieval town of Sandwich, the Channel Tunnel and Dover Ferry Port ( ideal for breaking up your journey to and from Europe) and just an hour or so from London, Heathrow and Gatwick.

Some of the best golf courses in Kent are all within 10 miles of The Black Pig.
