Likes:
Our room was spacious, clean and had ample storage and hanging space. Staff were very friendly. The breakfast was excellent.
Dislikes:
Even though there was noise from the bar downstairs on Friday and Saturday night it did not deter from our stay and it did not keep us awake.

"no wifi"
Stayed for 3 nights. I was unable to connect to the wifi anywhere but in the pub. Everything else about my stay was quite good. Being that I was in town for business, being able to connect to the internet is very important for me. If I were staying for leisure, it would as well. There are just a few things that need to be addressed. If they are addressed, this Inn would be fantastic. Read less

The food and service in the pub and breakfast area is excellent. Probably the best traditional English breakfast that I have ever had.
Dislikes:
wifi issues. The room was not cleaned once during my stay. I had to ask for clean towels.

The Fountain Inn is a recently renovated pub, restaurant and Bed and Breakfast located in the heart of the Pennine Way, nesting on the border between Lancashire and Yorkshire in the town of Barnoldswick.
The Fountain Inn began life as a coaching house in 1816 and some original features remain to this day, including the fireplace and traditional paved flooring.
The public house is open 7 days a week serving cask ales and a large wine menu. Bar snacks can be enjoyed throughout the property including next to the traditional wood burner or on the comfy couches.
The restaurant is also open throughout the week and serves an eclectic menu using locally sourced produce, prepared fresh daily. The restaurant provides a relaxed setting for diners and is perfect for intimate meals for two or large gatherings of friends and family.
There are five Bed and Breakfast rooms all providing modern facilities including ensuite bathrooms and toiletries, flat screen TVs, a kettle with tea and coffee, towels and a hairdryer. The rooms have also been thoughtfully kitted out with books to read and information on local activities and sights to see.
