Dislikes:
Very dissapointed in the quality ofroom 23 for a one night stay.It is very dated,as is the "fully tiled" bathroom with no bath. Windows rattled, heater not working. Wife in particular unimpressed.

We are currently updating the hotel on a winter by winter basis and very modern, upgraded Premier rooms are available for an extra charge.
Room 23 is a Traditional room and hasn't yet undergone modernisation.
If you would like to return for another visit this year we will upgrade you free of charge for a one night stay (dependant on availability at time of request.)

The Alumhurst is an Award Winning, town centre, family run, 2 Star Visit Britain Hotel. We have been established for 40 years in 2011 and to celebrate we have upgraded some rooms and renovated the ground floor.
We are in the centre of Britains favourite resort, close to the Prom, the Tower, the Winter Gardens Ballrooms and Theatre complex, the Grand Theatre, our wonderful new shopping centre and all the town centre night clubs and bars.
We take pride in offering you spotlessly clean rooms for 1, 2, 3 or 4 guests. Premier, Retro 70's and Traditional rooms,13 of which have been newly decorated for this coming season 2012. All are en suite with private shower rooms, Flat Screen TV's with full Freeview and integral DVD players, Tea & Coffee facilities, comfortable beds. Some Premier rooms have Kingsize beds and 2 have Super Kingsize beds. We also have a small lift that takes the hard work out of getting yourself and your luggage to your bedroom.
Our chef takes pleasure in offering you nourishing, well cooked breakfasts and evening meals in our newly renovated dining room, using local produce where possible, and coping with special dietary requirements is no problem to him.
Our comfortable bar is open every evening and stocks a wide range of drinks. We have a pool table, music centre, dart board, quiz machine and one armed bandit. We welcome children in the bar and there are some games for them.
We have limited free parking outside that can be reserved if available.
15% Discounts offered to Seniors in June and August. Coach parties are welcome, discounts and a free place are available on 30 guests or more. We do not accommodate all male groups and welcome well behaved Hen Parties.
Come and join the people who enjoy the Alumhurst every year, content in the knowledge that you have a secure, comfortable, clean place to stay and you will be staying on the road becoming famous for its own 'Illuminations' and garden atmosphere.
We try to help with environmental issues and ask all guests to place their used papers, magazines etc.... in the collection bag in reception.
Our staff use environmentally friendly cleaning and fragrancing products and we recycle plastic, glass and tins.
We ask guests not to expect clean towels daily unless necessary. A low energy heated rail is provided to dry towels after showering. We are happy to provide any information needed to help guests get around Blackpool without using their cars. Public transport is freely available and we are able to recommend it as we are only a couple of minutes walk away from our world famous tram system.
