The bathroom was a poor quality, e.g. shower furniture was either damaged or dirty.
The room was adjacent to the public toilets on the ground floor.
There was no remote control for the TV.

You booked and paid for a single room but we gave you a small double on the ground floor - we thought you would appreciate no stairs to climb. Admittedly there was an old wire soap/accessory tray in the shower room which has now been replaced. TV remotes are readily available for a refundable deposit - we have to collect them in as many have "disappeared" lately. We are disappointed that you did not mention any of this to us as we could have done something about it whilst you were here!

The Brooklyn is very difficult to miss, occupying an extremely prominent corner site adjacent to Blackpool's prime conference/exhibition hotel, The Imperial. Situated in the favoured North Shore area of the resort, The Brooklyn is only a ten minute walk from the town centre. Alternatively, the famous Blackpool trams stop 50 yards away on the Promenade and taxis are freely available.
Relax and enjoy a drink in our comfortable, well stocked bar or explore and sample the many sights and activities Blackpool has to offer. We are ideally situated for touring the Lake District, Lake Windermere being less than an hour’s drive away. Our clean and comfortable family-run hotel offers a warm welcome all year round.
All our rooms are tastefully decorated with en-suite facilities, colour TVs and tea and coffee making facilities. Enjoy a meal in our elegant dining room or quench your thirst in the cosy licensed bar. For the convenience of our guests, irons and hairdryers are available on request. We are constantly upgrading our facilities and services, and as a result, recently gained the QUALITY PLUS award, in conjunction with the English Tourism Council and Blackpool Borough Council, assuring cleanliness and comfort when choosing accommodation in Blackpool.
The Brooklyn Hotel tries to minimise its environmental impact by using energy efficient lightbulbs, recycling all waste and using locally sourced produce for meals. Instead of replacing towels daily, they are replaced only when left in the shower base by guests, thus reducing our washing load.
