Lancaster Road

Claughton,

Lancashire,

LA2 9LA,  United Kingdom
The Fenwick sits in the Lune Valley village of Claughton, which is on the main road between Lancaster and Kirkby Lonsdale, just minutes from Devil’s Bridge and in the perfect location to explore the Forest of Bowland; an area of outstanding natural beauty. At over 250 years old, the pub is among Lancaster’s busiest and best gastro-pubs, bursting with character and charm with large open fires, low beamed ceilings and oak planked floors.

"Not as good as a year ago."
Comfortable room, but getting tired/wearing compared to a year ago. TV didn't work - poor signal. Shower handle fell off. No fan - it was hot steamy. Could the room have been cleaner - yes probably.… Read more

Breakfast service was v. good. Staff member on duty v. professional and went the extra mile.
Dislikes:
'Hit & miss' service on the evening - guy in Bar didn't know his products. Silent Pool Gin described as a local product! Not offered a choice of wine by glass. Food OK, but menu hasn't changed much.
