We stayed to 4 days over christmas and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The hotel has nice public rooms and a large car park which is free. The bathrooms are large & well equiped and the hotel also has two squash courts, a gym and sauna. The bedrooms are kept very clean and although the decor is a tiny bit dated they are very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, some of the nicest I've ever encountered at any hotel! I would stay at this hotel again. Read less

The breakfasts were excellent as was room service in keeping the bathrooms and bedrooms very clean.

Lots of curb appeal; quiet, clean, good water pressure in shower, better than average lighting; HUGE room!
Dislikes:
breakfast eggs tasted like fish and bangers were a little slimy

Food menu was good. Breakfast was lovely.
Dislikes:
It was abit noisey with the creeking and moving around from the rooms upstairs with effected sleep slightly. Shower wasn't fantastic

Full English is huge, so tried the alternative scrambled egg and smoked salmon - well worth it. Did not use the bar and restaurant this time, but these are fine. Civilised hours for breakfast and checkout meant we were never rushed. Read less

Seems good value for something above a budget hotel. Easy to find, good parking and convenient for town. Good breakfast and a friendly team
Dislikes:
Stayed in room nine twice now. The shower really should be better for a deluxe room.

the staff were ameniable to an early check-in as we were attending a wedding.
Dislikes:
The worst part, was that we could not sleep after 7am due to noise upstairs - whether it's a room or a stairwell the ceiling is 'made of tissue'; this is the one thing a hotel needs to provide!!
