"The small Inn with a big heart"
Nestling in the country, close to the airport and city, the bridge Inn is a haven for those seeking a quiet weekend or an alternative to staying in the city. The staff are welcoming, accommodation comfortable and the breakfast was the most satisfying I have ever had!

There's plenty of parking, the dining is of a high standard and as the inn sits next to the union canal, walking or a canal cruise adds to the potential for visitors. Read less

The bridge inn offers the traveller a home from home and of particular merit, is the use of local produce to prepare their range of meals.

Its a great location for walkers or cyclists.

"Relaxing"
From the moment we got there the staff were all very helpful. We booked a table for dinner (which was also great) and headed up to the Burke room where we had a cup of tea and a glass of wine that we had brought and fell asleep after a nice warm shower and hot chocolate. The next morning we woke up after a refreshing sleep in one of the comfiest beds I have come across and went down for breakfast. Everything was fresh and delicious and filled us up for the rest of the day! Read less

As owners of the Bridge Inn, we have a clear vision for what we were trying to achieve: a friendly pub, with a warm welcome, and delicious home-cooked food. Wherever possible we use seasonal, Scottish, fresh, local produce, and everything is freshly prepared. We grow our own herbs and vegetables in a walled garden slightly along the canal from the pub. We have a small herd of saddleback pigs, and our menus often feature delicious home-produced pork on the menu. We use locally-shot game when it is in season. We always have a range of cask ales from breweries which we know throughout Scotland. We have lots of fun evolving our wine list, which we have tried to make one of the best value wine lists in Scotland. And we currently have on a selection of some 40 single malts from around this beautiful country.

We have extensively renovated this beautiful old building which was first mentioned in local records in 1750. We have altered the upstairs to create 4 beautiful and unique ensuite bedrooms. They each have a different feel, but each has its own view of the canal and surrounding countryside. We have reinstated an atmospheric country pub in the original 18th century part of the builidng with open fires and comfortable seating. And our bistro alongside the canal has been upgraded and we have added a terrace alongside the building to make the most of our unique setting.

We are situated less than 10 minutes from Edinburgh airport, 7 miles from the centre of Edinburgh, 5 minutes from the M8 and M9 motorways, and a perfect situation to explore central Scotland - Glasgow, Perth and Stirling all within less than an hour's journey.

We look forward to welcoming you to Ratho soon.
