"Fabulous"
We were working in Norfolk and at last minute we decided to stay overnight and we are so glad we did. The Dabbling Duck was a fantastic find. The room was very homely and clean. We ate in the restaurant that evening and indulged in a deliciously scrumptious meal. I recommend the duck pate and the hake. The staff were very attentive and helpful particularly the young girl who checked us in and out. She certainly knows her stuff and is a credit to the Dabbling Duck. Read less

The rooms are individually styled with antique style furniture and are delightful. There was even a complimentary small bottle of rosehip vodka in the room ( very nice).

Booked at a last minute trip. Called to reserve a table as reading reviews recommend due to the popularity of the venue, so glad I did as I had booked the wrong day, I only realised the day after when Mark called to double check. They even swapped it for me at no extra cost. Read less

Staff soooooo friendly, beautiful little village and the food was really nice. Complimentary rose hip vodka in our room. Just how good is this little place.
Dislikes:
Room a little small but it was cosy, and the room could have done with a dust.

The Dabbling Duck has 6 guest bedrooms. All are tastefully decorated and furnished to high specification making the Dabbling Duck an ideal base for an unforgettable stay in one of the prettiest and unspoilt parts of Norfolk.

All rooms are en suite with bath and power shower and are equipped with flat screen TV’s, tea making facilities, hairdryers, toiletries, and soft white towels. The Adjutant's room is also pet friendly.

The communal hallway houses a well-stocked library for guests to while away the hours and a comfy leather sofa for relaxing after long country walks!

We offer very competitive rates for corporate users on request.

The Dabbling Duck pub was opened in 2006 as the result of a tireless community action group and a far-sighted local authority's 6 year campaign to prevent the beautiful old building (previously the Rose and Crown pub) from being converted into housing.

The Dabbling Duck is based in Great Massingham, one of Norfolk’s most attractive villages, and located approximately 40 miles west of Norwich and 13 miles east of King’s Lynn. It has one of the most impressive greens in the country with several large ponds (home to the dabbling ducks!), which were originally fish ponds for an 11th century Augustinian Abbey.
