Likes:
Reception, Dining and Bar areas decorated to a high standard. Good cooked breakfast. Also enjoyed an evening meal - good value for money.
Dislikes:
Single room a little drab.

it's an easy going and friendly hotel and also good value for money
Dislikes:
For me the only thing the hotel needs is some new flatscreen freeview tv's in the rooms

We enjoyed the location,the staff were friendly especially the staff serving breakfast. Breakfast was quick and decor in food area lovely and new. Housekeeping came and checked on us daily.
Dislikes:
This hotel esp the triple room needs updating. We had curtains falling off and no hooks.Bathroom had hole in wall and mold.Headboards changed but walls not painted. wood on Bottom of Fr window drafty

Im sorry you found your stay dissapointing. The room you stayed in does need updating and we about to start the remaning updates in the coming weeks. As you pointed out, the dining room etc is all new. With such a large hotel, I have to prioritise about what needs refurbishing first but Room 9 is on the list for this year. Approx 85% of rooms have been refurbished, had you have voced this I would have been more than happy to change you rooms

The hotel is in a great location and we had no problem parking. The family room was a really good size. We had a good breakfast with a decent selection.I slept well,however my daughter found it noisy.
Dislikes:
The shower was quite erratic and the water from the basin taps almost non existent. The TV had 3 channels which didn't bother us too much as we had good weather.

Thank You for your review and points to raised. I will certainly look at the water pressure in the bathroom. We dont keep games in the rooms but as printed in you Guest Information folder (available in every room), there is a mention made that we offer a large selection of board games to all guests which are available from Reception. I have put a new TV in the room which has built-in Free-View. I didnt realise you only had 3 channels, its a pity you didnt mention at time as I could have fixed

Im sorry you felt the decor of the hotel was a little dated and basic. Over the last 2 years the hotel has underwent a major £70,000 refurbishment project which saw the hotel with a new stunning bar and restaurant, a new reception, new public areas such as all corridors and hallways aswel as 70% of the bedrooms. Whilst we have not gone for a contemporary look, the hotel certainly isnt outdated and we recieve many compliments about the hotel. Ongoing work is scheduled at the end of the year.

Breakfast was great. Staff at breakfast we friendly but no interaction with the guests other than asking what we wanted.Bonus we could see the sea from our room & great location
Dislikes:
The rooms needed a little tlc. especially the bathroom which had holes in the walls!!!! Matress was a little to hard. Could hear room next door showering & flushing the toilet rather early in the morn

Dislikes:
Service impeccable until a coach party arrived on the Monday who then took precedence over the other guests which was not acceptable.

Thank You for your review. In regards to the rooms, we have updated 70% of our rooms with the remander being scheduled for the end of the year. Im sorry you found that the coach party took presedence over our 'private guests'. We always strive to make sure our 'private guests' our served over our coach parties and im very sorry that it appeared to be the opposite of that when you were staying with us.
