Facilities were perfect and staff.
Dislikes:
Noisy kids on the street in the middle of the night.
Response from The Nelson Hotel:
Thank you for your recent review and I am pleased that you enjoyed yourself whilst here. Unfortunately we cannot do much about the noise on the seafront other than suggest the next time you wish to visit and stay with us, ring us directly so that we can advise you of the best rooms to satisfy your needs. Obviously by moving to a room away from the seafront you do lose that sea view that a lot of guests enjoy.

Likes:
A good location close to amusements, beach and shops. Lovely to step outside early in the morning for a stroll along the sea front
Dislikes:
Rooms looked tired and dated, could do with a refurb. Shower was cold.
Response from The Nelson Hotel:
Thank you for your review after your recent stay and I am sorry that a few things were not to your liking. We have an on going re furbishment programme that has been on pause during the summer months but has now re-commenced again with gusto. Another room will soon be finished with plans to do a further two shortly.

All 50 hotel guest rooms include en-suite bathroom, tea & coffee making facilities, hair dryer and television. Services and amenities available for guests include lift, lounge, bar, restaurant, meeting facilities and business centre.

There's a huge range of tourist attractions in Greater Yarmouth, where 15 miles of golden sandy beaches stretch out into the horizon along an ever changing coastline, from seaside amusements to rugged cliffs, from the serenity of Scroby Sands Windfarm and seal colony, to the fast paced action of Marine Parade. For retail therapy, Great Yarmouth's town centre is full of all sorts of shops and stores, from our very own Independent Department Store to the bustling market place, Market Gates shopping mall and the Victoria Arcade.
Just a few miles from the resort centre, pretty Norfolk villages and the beautiful winding Norfolk Broads waterways, lined with traditional windmills of all shapes and sizes are just waiting to be explored.

The Trinity Broads, north west of Great Yarmouth, are just the start of the Broads National Park, stretching for 125 miles over parts of Norfolk and Suffolk. Nearby, Norwich achieves an enviable balance as an enchanting cathedral city and a thriving modern metropolis. The city boasts some of the finest medieval architecture in Britain with its cathedral, castle and intricate network of winding streets.
There is a vibrant mix of theatres, cinemas, arts festivals, exhibitions, museums, numerous pubs, stylish café bars and a vast array of restaurants. The shopping is excellent and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly.

For a truly memorable day out, visit north Norfolk with its untamed ever-changing coastline, award-winning beaches, dramatic vistas, classic seaside resorts, charming market towns and picture postcard villages. Much of it is designated an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' internationally known for its wildlife.
So why not make The Nelson Hotel your base for exploring Great Yarmouth.
