"Just a one night stay hotel."
We arrived to check-in and found the Reception desk completely unmanned. After locating a bell and ringing and waiting for 25mins someone appeared.I presumed that the lady was a senior member of staff as she was not in uniform.Room was large and clean, bed was comfy but no toiletries are included in the bathroom which was clean and tidy.Breakfast is very regimented and is at 8.15am with no leeway. The St. George Hotel is ideally located 350 yards from the sea front where you have the Wellington Pier and the Britannia Pier, where you are able to take nice walks along the beach. The St. George Hotel has many historical facts that you may find interesting. One example is that the hotel was used as a housing base for the pilots in the Second World War.
The St. George Hotel has many historical facts that you may find interesting. One example is that the hotel was used as a housing base for the pilots in the Second World War. There is a picture within our reception area where you can see what the building looked like. We still have kept most of the features of the hotel from when it was originally was built.
You can't beat Greater Yarmouth as a fun, family-friendly destination. As one of the UK's top beach resorts, we have loads to see and do, a superb choice of places to eat and drink, a bustling town centre, charming quayside and some great places to stay, all within easy walking distance.
Greater Yarmouth has a stunning coastline with beaches to suit everyone, from quiet deserted beaches with sand dunes and not another soul in sight to traditional seaside family fun beaches with bouncy castles, deck chairs and donkey rides. We've got 15 miles of glorious golden sandy beaches to choose from, stretching from Hopton-on-Sea right up to Winterton-on-Sea.
With the Britannia Pier to the north, Wellington Pier to the south and The Jetty in the middle, Central Beach in Great Yarmouth stretches along the Golden Mile of seafront amusements, entertainment and attractions with plenty of restaurants and cafés.
