"Absolutely faultless!"
Whenever I go to a hotel I always have a slight worry that something won't be up to scratch; whether it be the bed too hard or the shower not powerful enough. The Orange Tree blew every other place I've stayed at out of the water! I couldn't fault a single thing! The lady who showed us round was smiley and seemed proud of the place which was lovely. The courtyard was snug but cute and the room was so beautiful. The bed was comfier than mine at home and the gorgeous bathroom was immaculate. Read less

The staff were very happy, which is important, and the breakfast they served was delightful! I had a great nights sleep and woke up to lovely weather and the beach right on my doorstep.
Dislikes:
If I was going to be very very picky I'd say the shower was a little hot, even when the temperature was turned down, but I can deal with heat for the value of this magnificent place.

"Orange Tree in early Spring - A nice stay and lucky with the weather. Would have liked more room"
We arrived at around 1 and were told in no uncertain terms (by less than friendly staff member) that we could not have the room until 3. The Old Bakery is a lovely building with great shared lounge but our room was very small and the bathroom extremely small and claustrophobic. Was generally clean although the shower tray and walls of the shower need some attention from the inevitable dampness. We explored the North Norfolk Coast which was beautiful (great trips to Blakeney / Wells etc.) Read less

We opted for the dinner option on each of the three nights. The choice (without any supplements) was extensive and the food was excellent. The venison was outstanding as was the rib-eye steak.
Dislikes:
Disappointed with size room / en-suite. Didn't ask to move as all other rooms in the Old Bakery were full and the other rooms were dog friendly (we not dog owners). All staff bar the first very good

The Orange Tree - Norfolk's Dining Pub of the Year, The Good Pub Guide; 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 & 2017. The Orange Tree is a stylish, contemporary dining pub, nestled in one of Norfolk's most beautiful coastal villages. We are widely recognised as one of the best places to eat in North Norfolk. It is our aim to serve award-winning food, made from locally sourced produce, in a laid back environment. We have an attractive al fresco dining area and children’s playground, perfect for warm summer afternoons and evenings. The Orange Tree offers a haven of tranquility for couples, families and friends looking to unwind and enjoy great food and wine.

We have six ensuite bedrooms in a courtyard, and four ensuite bedrooms in The Old Bakery annex which is 50 metres from the front door. Making us the perfect spot to relax and enjoy our stunning, unspoilt beaches by day and our award-winning food by night. We have two roms which have separate bunk bed rooms for children. Dogs are welcome in the 6 ground floor rooms and in the bar we even have menu for them!

Thornham offers an excellent base for visitors to explore our very special coastline. On the edge of Brancaster bay, we are minutes' walk from Thornham Harbour and superb beach beyond where one can find unspoilt peace even at the height of summer. Very close by is the bustling harbour of Brancaster Staithe and the famous bird reserve of Titchwell. The site of the world-famous "Sea Henge" is within a mile and just along the coast is the popular family resort of Hunstanton. A few miles to the East is one of Norfolk's best loved coastal towns Wells-next-the-sea. We are very popular with those enjoying the varied country pursuits available in Norfolk.

Dogs are welcome in the bedrooms at The Orange Tree at a charge of £10 per dog per stay. But not in The Old Bakery
