"Will come for longer next time"
Our fourth visit as it is an ideal spot to stay when visiting mother in Bishopbriggs. The rooms are large and well appointed. We had a car park facing room this time and it was fine but not as nice as the canal facing ones. Nice shot circular walk from hotel to stretch legs before driving home. Looks great area to explore so will try to come for longer next time. Lots of people walking/cycling up the towpath. Read less
Likes:
Great rooms, nicely decorated.
Fantastic food in the restaurant and really nice to sit out in sunshine on the terrace overlooking the marina.
Staff really friendly and chatty.
Dislikes:
Room was just a wee bit too warm and on the night we stayed there was a yapping dog so slightly annoying to have the window open. Apparently the dog doesn't 't normally stay though.

Just a short distance away from Glasgow and Cumbernauld and only a stroll away from Kilsyth, lies a sanctuary a million miles from it all.

The Boathouse is an elegant bar and restaurant, with boutique rooms where your comfort is paramount. Our chairs are for sinking into not perching on, our food is for savouring not picking at, our beds are designed to give you the soundest night’s sleep possible.

Outside you’ll find the Auchinstarry marina on the Forth and Clyde Canal, where boats moor while the canal ripples softly in the quiet.
It’s hard to believe you’re only minutes from the town, but you are.

The Boathouse rooms are perfect for business trips or luxury weekend breaks.

Great beds for sleepy heads, mood lighting, power showers, flat-screen Freeview television with fabulous food and serious wines.

Breakfast served 7.15am - 11.30am (Monday - Friday) and 8am - 11.30am( Saturday and Sunday). Check out at 12 noon on day of departure. The restaurant is extremely busy at weekends, and restaurant reservations are recommended. The rooms are accessed from an external door which residents have 24 hour access to. Please check-in at the restaurant between 3pm and 11pm.
