We stayed for a night whilst walking over in Nidderdale. As we have a dog we had a deluxe double that allows the dog to stay. Great pretty room and the most comfortable bed with beautiful bedding. Only negative which didn't matter for us really but might for others was for a deluxe room the TV is a tiny screen in the corner of the room. Read less

The Castle Arms is an attractive, friendly, character inn, set in the tranquil and picturesque North Yorkshire village of Snape, Conveniently situated close to the A1, between Bedale and Masham, the property is conveniently situated for easy access to the many tourist attractions of both The Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors National Parks. We have nine well appointed and comfortable rooms, in converted stables set around an attractive courtyard at the rear of the premises. The main pub is grade 2 listed and oozes character and charm with it's flagged floors, oak beams and roaring fire.

The property features nine bedrooms, all with en-suite bath or shower rooms and furnished to an exceptional standard with co-ordinated decor and pine furniture throughout. Many architectural features of the original building have been retained to provide a traditional ambiance which contrasts beautifully with the modern amenities. Central heating, colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities are standard.

Great home cooked food is served in our restaurant and bar areas with a wide selection of cask ales, fine wines and spirits on offer to accompany your meal or to enjoy by themselves. Food service times are 12-2.30pm for lunch and 6-8.30 (9pm Fri / Sat) for evening meals with the exception of Sunday when food is served from 12-3 (bar closed from 5pm). Dogs are welcome in all our rooms (a small supplement of £10 per stay is charged) and in the bar areas of the pub.

Local attractions include Thorpe Perrow Arboretum, the breweries of Masham, Lightwater Valley and the cathedral city of Ripon. Not to mention the spectacular countryside on our doorstep, ideal for walking or cycling.
