Slept really well,the peace and quiet...bliss!
We were a little late going down to breakfast,my daughter found it difficult to get out of the shower as it was so good.
We were able to come and go as we wished and the
surrounding area is beautiful.
Unfortunately we didn't get to dine at the restaurant this time but we would certainly recommend it.

The chef was a young local lad who created some fabulous dishes worthy of a city centre restaurant. Breakfast was cooked and served by the lovely lady from the local farm. Overall, a great stay. Overnight stay whilst attending local horse racing stables. Sunday lunch was first class. The bar was full of character and would certainly impress a horse racing enthusiast. The bar was complete with homely log burning fire.
The accomodation was warm and clean, and the rooms have all recently been refurbished.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was superb.
All in all, a great stay, and I will definitely be returning in the future. Read less

Ideally located for Catterick Garrison, Bedale, Richmond and Leyburn. Only 5 miles from the racehorse training centre of Middleham, stable visits and transport to the training gallops can be arranged.
