Likes:
the very relaxed atmosphere, we we able to chat, laugh, and not be worried about the other guests...... as they were doing the same. Fantastic food, at a decent price (as was the room).
Dislikes:
Yes ..... I should have booked 2 nights.

"Beautiful, quirky rooms with exceptionally high standards"
We arrived and were greeted by the friendly front of house gentleman. We were shown to our rooms promptly and asked if there was anything else we needed. Dinner and breakfast were outlined and we were left to settle in. The evening menu is vast with something for everyone. As the meals are freshly prepared you could easily request any amendments to the menu. Portion sizes are very good and food quality was exceptional. Read less
Likes:
The rooms were quirky with wine glass chandilliears. Jacuzzi bath and rain shower were lovely. Decor overall was lovely, the beds are huge!!! And also incredibly comfortable.
Dislikes:
Nothing regarding the hotel though if you are seeking a taxi book it a week in advance. The hotel can do this for you. We paid extortionate money for a taxi as local drivers were fully booked

The Oak Tree Inn specialises in bringing its customers high quality food, drink, service and surroundings, including a superb private dining room for larger parties of 16 to 20 and six en-suite bedrooms. The classic British menus showcase the best local produce available from carefully selected suppliers as well as stocking an extensive range of wines and cask ales.

The Oak Tree Inn has undergone an enormous refurbishment and building programme which has taken over two years in the planning. With the ‘new life’ given to the premises, The Oak Tree now offers guests a wonderfully spacious traditional bar, stocked with local beers, hand pulled ales and a considered wine list. This is a relaxed and informal area for informal dining and drinking. The new barn extension is a light filled space, looking back onto the rear courtyard, ideal for friends and family to gather for formal or informal occasions.

The Oak Tree is open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Set on the cross roads of historic Helperby and Brafferton, The Oak Tree Inn is easily accessible from Easingwold, Thirsk and Boroughbridge as well as the A1 and A19, less than 30 minutes from York City Centre or 35 minutes from Harrogate.
