The sweeping Yorkshire Wolds lie to the south and to the east with beautiful villages and footpaths bisecting the Wolds Way. North across the farmlands and market towns of the Vale of Pickering rise the heather-clad North York Moors. Go west and you'll climb the Howardian Hills, home to splendid Castle Howard of "Brideshead Revisited" fame. South-west lies York with all its mediaeval splendour.

A1 - North(approx 50 miles)
From the A1 take the A61 to Thirsk then the A170 to Helmsley. Before Helmsley turn right onto the B1257
A1 South(approx 30 miles)
Take the A1M to Junction 44 and follow the A64 east to York. Continue past York and eventually you will pick up the brown signs for Castle Howard.
Malton(approx 4 miles)
Turn right from A64 into village of Scagglethorpe and we are right on the left.
Scarborough(approx 20 miles)
Coming from Scarborough look for sign to Scagglethorpe and turn left. We are right on the left.
