Fantastic room and views looking over the yorkshire dales with a great village pub feel. We went for the 4 poster room with the big bathroom and it was wonderful with lots of character.
Dislikes:
Even meal options were a bit limited but understandable given the location. Overall it did cover some of the pub classics.

On arriving at the hotel we were informed that because the chef had Mondays and Tuesdays off the kitchen would be closed. Hence no breakfasts, and only able to eat in hotel on sunday night. The menu on the sunday was extremely limited. Kept awake by the noise coming from below our bedroom window, it was an arguement between the manager and chef, the latter of whom was requesting the manager step out into the road and fight with him.

It is ideally suited for walking, touring and fishing with Kilsney Angling Club established in 1840 being based here with fishing on the river Wharfe and Skirfare.
