The Masons Arms is ideally located for exploring all the places of interest in the area. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent.

The rooms were lovely, particularly the one my friend had which was up some stairs and had skylights and a beautiful bed. Price was very reasonable and LOVED that there were pigs and alpaccas on site!
Dislikes:
That it was only for one night!

A former coaching inn, built about 200 years ago, the Masons Arms is situated four miles from the historic market town of Alnwick near the beautiful Northumberland cosatline. The inn makes an ideal base from which to explore the untamed natural beauty and rich heritage of this area.
Tastefully extended and modernised throughout, the Masons Arms offers the quality and facilities expected by todays discerning guest.
We now offer seventeen ensuite bedrooms comprising a mixture of standard, deluxe and premier rooms, including two suites.
Substantial home cooked meals using the very best local produce are served in the bar and dining rooms.
As well as the usual range of drinks, there is a choice of real ales (one of them local to the region), and a wide selection of wines. We also offer a good selection of malt whisky
The Masons Arms is an ideal base for exploring the virtually undiscovered county of Northumberland, which boasts one of the most beautiful stretches of English coastline.
The countryside encompasses heather moorland, isolated farmsteads, forests and valleys, and there are castles and battlefields which reflect Northumberland's turbulent past.
Watersport enthusiasts enjoy the nearby facilities of Beadnell Bay and of course Kielder Water. Golfers, anglers (river fishers, sea fishing) and walkers will find themselves spoilt for choice. Birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts will appreciate the wide range of resident and migrant birds along the coast . Arranged golf tours available also.
