Booked a couple of nights at last minute. After looking at a lot of B&Bs on the tourist board listings, I was starting to get disheartened by the numbers that didn't allow children when you read the small print. Found the Tower and my 4 year old son was made really welcome by all of the staff. Stayed on an extra night so transferred rooms which was all easily taken care of. Food was great and really reasonably priced. Both rooms very clean and comfortable. Read less

Welcome to the Tower Restaurant & Accommodation in Alnwick situated just off the A1 trunk road around 35 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne.
Ideally situated for all kinds of attractions and activities, from historic castles at Alnwick (featured in the recent Harry Potter movie), Bamburgh and Warkworth, to long sandy beaches, wide open moorland and ancient religious sites such as Lindisfarne (Holy Island), North Northumberland truly has something to offer everyone. The nearest railway station can be found at Alnmouth a picturesque seaside village set on a wide tidal estuary around 4 miles from Alnwick. To the north of Alnwick the next large town is Berwick upon Tweed a medieval walled town which is a distance of about 30 miles. Alnwick is accessible by air with the nearest airport being at Newcastle and we are approximately 80 miles from the historic city of Edinburgh which is also the location of the next nearest major Airport.
