"Retro Quirky!"
A lovely two night special birthday stay. If you like the old fashioned, Dickensian feel to a hotel as we do then you will love it. Oldy worldy and steeped in history. Staff were very friendly and down to earth. Some of the routines may be off putting and old fashioned for some people. For example your drinks and canapes were served in the fifteen minutes prior to being lead into the dining room for your evening meal. However, if you want an insight into the etiquette and manners of a bygone era. Read less

Beautiful fine food served individually. Fabulous garden with a myriad of birds feeding at the feeding station.Brilliant secluded location.I could go on but suffice to say we'll be back with friends.
Dislikes:
Some subtle background music may have offset the austere surroundings in the dining room
