Likes:
The friendliness of the lady who served in the bar, worked reception and also recommended the evening dinner specials. The view of the river from the bedroom window. Steak pie filled the dish. Great.
Dislikes:
I had cooked breakfast at 8am, egg was hard, bacon dark brown and rubbery. Sausage was good. The cereals, juices and toast could not be faulted. I think my fry-up may have been kept warm.

Situated on the Bridge of Haydon Bridge (which originally dates back to the 1300's). The Anchor Hotel is a building steeped in history and it has been a Hotel in various guises for many years.
