"What a night"
I arrived about 9.30pm and took a while to arouse anyone. The lady was very helpful and found me a room 5. Carpets not vacuumed, flimsy curtains letting street lights through, no double glazing so very noisy from main road. I have never slept on a mattress quite like this as I could count the springs from the other side of the room. If you rolled near the edge you fell off. Do not use toilet unless you have hearing protection, I thought it was a helicopter landing on the roof. Read less

The Coach and Horses Inn is set in the beautiful market town of Hexham which provides an array of shopping and cultural facilities including both high street shops and a number of independent retailers, weekly markets, a theatre and a cinema. We have a large beer garden which families can also enjoy, a comfortable bar area and five en-suite bedrooms consisting of one double room, three twin rooms and one single.

We are ideally situated as we have the convenience of a thriving market town but are also close to the Northumberland Area of Outstanding Beauty and the Cheviot Hills as well as numerous historical sites such as Hadrians Wall, Vindalanda and the Robin Hood Tree (Sycamore Gap) to name but a few. There is also easy access to larger shopping centres and cities like Newcastle and the Metro Centre with regular trains also running from Hexham train station.

Here at the Coach we are close to all local amenities and stunning countryside. Pop in and see for yourself!
