We had a great night at the swan, we were visiting a sick relative so the meal was welcome after a long day.
The meal was beautiful everything home made, not like one of these chain pubs that do everything in a microwave, you could tell the quality.
The staff were brilliant from checking in till we left. Read less

Likes:
Good location and considering the hotel is on a busy road, it was surprisingly quiet.
Dislikes:
I'd have preferred a separate shower rather than the over-bath one in the room.

Dislikes:
The heating was programable by the owners so it got rather cold through the night and the heating didnt come on untill 4pm thorugh the day.
Response from The Swan at Choppington:
Many thanks for your review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay & would stay with us again. Regarding the heating, we have upgraded our system recently & now each room has its own individual thermostat which allows guests to moderate their room’s temperature 24 hrs a day. We also have a setting programmed into the system that boosts the heating in all rooms at 4pm until late for the comfort of guests in the evening. I’m sorry if this was not clear to you & hope it didn't spoil your stay.
