had a great stay - we were given a room for early check in so we could change for a wedding, taxis were booked for us - sadly there was a mess up with the taxi firm so the manager very kindly took us to the venue in her own car. All staff were very friendly and very helpful - would most definitely go back Read less

"Will definitely be staying again."
I booked this hotel early on in the year for my fiancé's birthday. His daughter has recently moved to Stocksfield from Wolverhampton and I don't think I could have picked a better hotel. The staff are lovely and the food is amazing. Dinner is a little on the expensive side, but is fantastic. Will definitely be staying again to visit my soon to be step-daughter. Read less

The Duke of Wellington Inn is nestled in the Tyne valleys village of Newton just off the A69 near Corbridge, within easy access to Newcastle, Hadrian’s Wall Country, Hexham and Northumberland’s National Park. The inn has recently reopened following an extensive refurbishment. The new décor reflects the traditional country inn history but with a modern twist. Existing oak and stone has been enhanced with modern colours, furniture and fabrics. Lunches and dinners are served seven days a week in the bar and dining room. The food provides traditional British comfort eating to an exceptional standard and makes use of local, seasonal ingredients. A comprehensive range of beers and ales compliments an extensive wine list. The inn experience continues with seven bedrooms providing a very high quality of luxury accommodation. The outstanding views across the Tyne valley provide the ultimate conclusion to a visit to the Duke of Wellington which will stay with you long after you leave.
