On arrival we were met by Nick, who couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms are exactly what you need, spacious and clean with tea and coffee facilities, TV, Iron and Ironing Board as well as hairdryer. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and the food was amazing, their chef bent over backwards as we had a fussy eater in the group and all of our meals were superb. I cannot compliment him enough. The breakfast was also to die for, as much as you liked and whatever you liked. Read less

The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic. Position of the hotel is great. The owners have only been there 7 weeks and have made a big difference already.

"Great little hotel for a short break"
We stayed for 2 nights, whilst we were house-hunting in the area. The rooms had everything you could need, plenty of tea & coffee, hair-dryer, iron & ironing board. The bed wasn't the most comfortable we've ever stayed on as it was far too soft and lumpy, but the quilt and pillows were fantastic. The staff were really pleasant and friendly, and couldn't be more helpful. The hotel itself does need a bit of updating as decor is very tired, but that didn't put us off. Read less

"Comfortable, cosy hotel"
Room was nice and warm. Comfortable bed, with good facilities (end suite shower, TV etc. Room was very warm, and the fan which was provided unfortunately didn't work. Window opened though. Only negative was being woken up by a drunken idiot shouting and banging on the doors numerous times in the night. Maybe a night Porter or security would be a beneficial addition. Read less

Friendly staff in the bar. Breakfast was nice.
Dislikes:
As above, being woken up at midnight, 4am and 7am by a drunken male shouting and banging on doors.

Haverfordwest is the attractive and ancient county town of Pembrokeshire. As well as being the county's administrative centre, Haverfordwest has a great variety of shops in the town and the outlying retail parks. The centre of Haverfordwest is dominated by the Western Cleddau that runs through the middle of the town and the castle that towers above it . Haverfordwest castle was built about 1120, situated within the Castle wall and previously the old prison governor’s house is the town museum. Down river on the west bank of the river are the ruins of an Augustinian Priory that have recently been excavated and repaired. They occupy a pleasant setting beside the river, a short walk from the town centre. The award winning Haverfordwest Farmers Market is held on the riverside every Friday.
