"The friendliest and most comfortable small hotel I have ever stayed and dined in!"
I was attending a rugby game at Selkirk where the team I support, Hillhead Jordanhill RFC, were playing a league game against the local side. The Glen Hotel was ideally positioned being only a matter of 200 - 300 metres from the ground. After the game - and subsequent hospitality - I returned to the hotel to enjoy a large malt whisky beside the cosy living flame gas fire in the reception area. I had an excellent meal that evening and enjoyed the polite conversation of the owner, before retiring. Read less
