Convient for all Ironbridge sites, we covered most of the museums by foot from the hotel, walking approx. 15 miles over 2 days.
Dislikes:
Hotel needs a bit of TLC to update it.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the Woodbridge Inn. Both times before breakfast was included in the price. When we booked this time we sent an email asking if this could be included as a supplement as there was nowhere nearby to eat! we did not receive an acknowledgement, tried to contact by telephone on Christmas Eve, without success. When we arrived the breakfast issue was sorted, but the room was very tiny for a double room and even making a cup of tea was difficult. Read less

Room had no heating even at night, 2 nights were very cold. No lights outside, pitch black, had to navigate 3 sets of uneven steps in dark. Wardrobe had 3 hangers, nowhere for suitcase & no hair dryer

This tranquil setting of riverside meadows was transformed in the late 18th Century by a local entrepreneur William Reynolds, who connected the Shropshire canal with the River Severn by introducing a new canal through the meadows and by 1793 the canal was fully operational Nestled alongside the bridge and running down to the river in more than five acres of landscaped grounds is The Woodbridge at Coalport where the staff and myself welcome customers old and new to this idyllic setting where our attentive and friendly service should make your visit enjoyable and encourage you to return time and time again.
The Woodbridge can offer five letting rooms which are available for long term or short overnight stays with riverside views from four of the rooms. There is a selection of twin and double rooms which all benefit from en-suite facilities, welcome tray, television and wi-fi access.
