The Swan is an 18th century pub/hotel located on the banks of the River Severn and set in the heart of the Ironbridge Gorge. We provide annual passports to all of the museums within an 8 mile radius of our hotel and some great deals. All of our rooms are clean, comfortable, full of character and with en suite. For the brave amongst you Room 5 is supposedly haunted and has a stunning glass floor! For fisherman, we are directly in front of arguably, the best fishing spot on the River Severn

Easy to find and central to Ironbridge. Many attractions and facilities close by.
Very friendly welcome - we were expected.
Very tasty food and beer.
Dislikes:
We were not expecting the loud music (although it did finish at midnight).

We don't think the Swan is really a 4 star as advertised as a lot of the decor is a little tired, not many towels available etc. but we still thought it was great value for money. Read less

The breakfast was excellent. Adequate free parking. Friendly staff.
Dislikes:
There was no WIFI as advertised and we had to ask the manager to re-tune the tv as all we could get was dodgey channels! The kettle was also full of limescale.

Dislikes:
as above, the carpets are filthy in all areas, as it is an old coach house and listed building being over 4ft6" tall is a problem. The evening meal I chose was Fish and Chips not good at all

The Swan is an eighteenth century Malt house set on the river front close to the heart of Ironbridge. It was an Inn when Abraham Darby was building the Bridge and as such it is rumoured that site meetings were held at The Swan from time to time.
Ironbridge offers a tremendous variety of things to do in your leisure time, whether it be visiting one of the area's many museums, such as the world famous Ironbridge Gorge Museum, or participating in leisure activities. Whether you enjoy walking, sightseeing, fishing, canoeing, cycling,shooting, shopping or golf then we can accommodate you at the Swan.
Just let us know what you want to do on your break and we will organise any tickets, licenses or passes that you would require.
We are the oldest pub in the Ironbridge and offer great comfort, charm and character. After your days activity you can unwind in our bar or restaurant with a wide variety of dishes to suit all pockets. We offer food from 12-3pm & 6-10pm Monday to Thursday and 12-10pm Friday to Sunday, served in our restaurant or relaxed bar area.
