Likes: It suited our needs and the hotel was comfortable and friendly.
Dislikes: Our rooms were not serviced during our stay and there was an annoying pump like noise continually at night ( room 5 )
Also in room 5 there is a green light which stays on all night .

2 night stay at The Anchor Inn, we explored local Exmoor & had a very relaxing time. As a family with a young child it was good to be able to use the pub for evening food which was served from 5.30- excellent local produce & lots to choose from. The owners were so helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable & were very flexible, relaxed and friendly. Read less

The Anchor Inn is a traditional pub, restaurant and B&B with six letting bedrooms. Overlooking beautiful rural surroundings shaped by the river Exe, it is situated on the southern tip of Exmoor near the village of Dulverton. The front of the Inn features a characterful historic bar which once entertained the celebrated English novelist R.D. Blackmore in the 19th century and features in his classic Lorna Doone. Overlooking the riverside garden is our large restaurant; serving fresh homemade food which takes advantage of Somerset and Devonshire's excellent local produce. We specialise in fresh fish and seafood, excellent deserts, hospitality and a warm welcome, we also welcome dogs. We have six letting bedrooms available to cater for a variety of requirements, from families to individuals. All stays are accompanied by a traditional Exmoor breakfast.
