"Good enough experience for an over night stay"
It was a nice enough hotel for the one night, the room of 4 suited perfectly for a group of young adults with having the 4 single beds. The service could have been better for checking into the hotel but the staff were friendly enough and showed us to our room. The breakfast was lovely, even better with it being included in the price of the booking. It was an ideal location for going to the northfield bowling complex and a good location for other facilities&restaurants Read less

We are ideally located for Prestwick Airport, Ayr Racecourse, Northfield Bowling Centre and the many world class golf courses in the area. Newton on Ayr Train station is just around the corner providing a direct rail link between Ayr, Prestwick and Glasgow, there is also a direct bus link with the bus stop situated directly outside the hotel.

It’s a place that attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists each Spring and Summer, swelling the weekly population by 150%. They come for the world class golfing at Royal Troon and Turnberry, for salmon and trout fishing, sailing, grouse shooting, horse racing not to mention to explore historic sites from the impressive Culzean Castle to numerous other castles and the birthplace of Robert Burns, and for the stunning sea views.

Golf and Robert Burns put Ayr on the map, but the area's unique charms have kept it there. Rolling hillsides, dramatic coastline and even some of Scotland's famous islands are all within easy reach of Ayr's old town and its architecture stretching back 500 years. The hotel itself was built in the early 1900’s with its turret and crest resembles a small castle. In the early years it was a doctor’s surgery before becoming a hotel in the 1930’s.

We have a range of well appointed, comfortable en-suite rooms providing good clean accommodation at a competitive price. Our restaurant is open 7 days a week providing quality meals to residents and non residents. The hotel also has a Friendly bar showing live sports, pool and darts competitions as well as Karaoke every week.
