"Who took the photos?"
Photos made rooms far bigger than they were. Tiny and quite grubby. Bedding clean but crumbs in drawers! Had hospitality tray filled up but nobody made up our bed!… Read more

Poor menu choices. Daily special on for more than one day. Had we stayed longer, we would have been a bit stuck as what to order

"Sleepless in Barton"
The food was good and service reasonable. HOwever, the staircase to the room was the first thing I saw and it was filthy. It was originally cream/off white but is now a very unattractive dirty brown. The carpet continued along with filth in to my very tiny room. Actually the size wouldn't have been an issue had the smell of wet dogs not overwhelmed it so. I had to sleep with the window open as the smell was so bad, and that meant noise almost throughout the night. I left at 6am exhausted & unfed Read less

The restaurant and bar were good, we had a lovely afternoon. The bed linen was very good quality, its just a shame the owners have not felt the need to keep the place cleaner and replace carpet.
Dislikes:
As above, this totally ruined what was meant to be a weekend off from work and study, I was exhausted when I got home and missed breakfast as I couldn't stay another minute.

Tradition is at the heart of The 3 Horseshoes along with a contemporary twist. Widely considered the best bar in the area, its originality has been largely kept to ensure that current and future generations can enjoy. This theme continues through to the lounge where a modern take on tradition embraces the new Bit ‘n’ Cherry restaurant, located in the old cobblers workshop. Likewise our new bedrooms have been designed to modern standards whilst remaining inside this historic building. A couple of metres over the road you will see the old forge, hence the name ‘The 3 Horseshoes.’ Well you’ve got to have a drink whilst your horse is having the ‘missing’ shoe fitted, haven’t you?

After lying relatively dormant for over 50 years, it is only recently that The 3 Horseshoes has started to find its true potential. Once a derelict cottage and an uninspiring coal and bottle store, this fabulous space is now utilized to offer a forward thinking gastropub in traditional surroundings.

Our head chef, Michael Blakemore, has uniquely designed all dishes to encompass the spirit of relaxed fine dining. With over 20 years experience in the industry his career has taken him from the Langham International London through to one of golf’s finest courses, The Belfry, where he specialized in pastry. Lea Marston Hotel in Warwickshire was his next challenge as he spent over ten years in this double AA rosette establishment. It was during this period that he achieved recognition through MARCHE (Midland Association of Restaurants, Caterers, Hotels & Entertainment) as a 3 times finalist for the 'MARCHE Chef of the Year' title.

All of our staff are extremely proud of their achievements in tenderly transforming The 3 Horseshoes and look forward to striving for Rosettes and Ratings in their food and accommodation. Continued success in the bar and an ultimate dining experience for guests are of utmost importance to the future of our establishment and our team.
