"Very satisfactory"
The Three Horse Shoes was ideally located for our visit to the National Memorial. The chef at breakfast time was very friendly and gave us good directions to the memorial. We also chatted, on both mornings, about the memorial. It was lovely to hear a young man so enthusiastic about such a wonderful place. It made our trip all the more enjoyable. Read less

Lovely room, staff and an excellent evening meal in the restaurant with well kept ales.
Dislikes:
Only thing that would've been better for us would be facility to store power wheelchair inside overnight which I had specifically asked about when booking.

Tradition is at the heart of The 3 Horseshoes along with a contemporary twist. Widely considered the best bar in the area, its originality has been largely kept to ensure that current and future generations can enjoy. This theme continues through to the lounge where a modern take on tradition embraces the new Bit ‘n’ Cherry restaurant, located in the old cobblers workshop. Likewise our new bedrooms have been designed to modern standards whilst remaining inside this historic building. A couple of metres over the road you will see the old forge, hence the name ‘The 3 Horseshoes.’ Well you’ve got to have a drink whilst your horse is having the ‘missing’ shoe fitted, haven’t you?

After lying relatively dormant for over 50 years, it is only recently that The 3 Horseshoes has started to find its true potential. Once a derelict cottage and an uninspiring coal and bottle store, this fabulous space is now utilized to offer a forward thinking gastropub in traditional surroundings.

Our head chef, Michael Blakemore, has uniquely designed all dishes to encompass the spirit of relaxed fine dining. With over 20 years experience in the industry his career has taken him from the Langham International London through to one of golf’s finest courses, The Belfry, where he specialized in pastry. Lea Marston Hotel in Warwickshire was his next challenge as he spent over ten years in this double AA rosette establishment. It was during this period that he achieved recognition through MARCHE (Midland Association of Restaurants, Caterers, Hotels & Entertainment) as a 3 times finalist for the 'MARCHE Chef of the Year' title.

All of our staff are extremely proud of their achievements in tenderly transforming The 3 Horseshoes and look forward to striving for Rosettes and Ratings in their food and accommodation. Continued success in the bar and an ultimate dining experience for guests are of utmost importance to the future of our establishment and our team.
