The staff were very friendly and courteous, food was good and the room was pleasant and clean.
Dislikes:
There are renovations ongoing at the moment and it was a tad noisy as we booked in, but it stopped promptly around six and did not upset our stay.

"It's a pity"
Totally impressed with the location and exterior of the Inn but the cleanliness of both the public sreas and bedrooms was really out of order. Ranging from heavily soiled carpets to bathroom quite oviously not having been properly cleaned for what looked like days.We were two couples travelling together and frankly this was the saddest place we have ever stayed in - for 1 night we were prepared to put up with it but had the booking been for longer, the owners snd ourselves would have had words. Likes:
Location splendid and very well placed for looking around the area.
Dislikes:
Carpets were pretty dirty throughout-bathrooms had been inadequately cleaned. Television in one room didn't work because the aerial wall socket was wrecked. TV remote control in 2nd room didn't work.
