Dislikes:
There are renovations ongoing at the moment and it was a tad noisy as we booked in, but it stopped promptly around six and did not upset our stay.

"Experience of the Kirkhouse"
The Kirkhouse was a great location for all our purposes. The staff were very slow to check us in,but eventually we were allocated room 25. We were both flabbergasted that they were actually renting this room out.I wouldn't even wash my dog in the bath, there was a serious health and safety issue with the wiring to the towel rail, and in general not acceptable.Saying that we did complain to the Manageress transferred to room 19 which was 100% better although it too had issues. The downstairs area where the restaurant and bar was situated was lovely. It had just been refurbished to a very high standard.Bar staff were friendly and the restaurant served exceptional meals.
Dislikes:
There was copious amounts of rubbish in the car park and on the balcony outside our bedroom window from the refurbishments which was very unsightly. There was no internet access throughout the hotel.
