Friends who live nearby joined us for dinner but were charged an extortionate amount for a taxi home before 10 pm.
Response from The Kirkhouse Inn:
Thank you for your kind words we are glad you enjoyed your stay and dinner with us. We are sorry your friends were charged a large amount for their taxi home however this is outwith the control of the hotel. We hope you will visit us again in the future.

"Infrastructure upgrade recommended"
Arrived at check in and had favorable first impression of the room. But on closer inspection, an overhead light blinked continually, a piece of the trim in the sitting area had pulled away from the wall, a vent in the barpthroom was disconnected, and the pull down shades could not be raised without the cord disconnecting. We enjoyed the convenience of the location just off the John Muir Way. And the goat cheese salad was a highlight of our dinner.
Dislikes:
Difficulty connecting to the Internet and the inability to have wireless internet access in our room.
Response from The Kirkhouse Inn:
We thank you for your review and are sorry that you were not completely satisfied with your stay. With regard to the light had you brought this to the attention of a member of staff this would have been immediately rectified. The blinds by law have to have chains which break if pulled tightly this is to stop any accidents occurring. Unfortunately the Kirkhouse Inn is situated at the foot of the Campsie Hills which whilst providing a beautiful backdrop internet access is difficult.
