We stayed here because we had booked a tour at the Glengoyne distillery. The bus stop to the distillery is in front of the inn, or they are happy to arrange a taxi service. The inn is well-fitted, clean, and cosy. The food is very good, and the staff is very friendly. Read less

"Noisy room"
Reception was well decorated, shown to a lovely room but quickly realised we had an air con/heating condenser just outside our window. Noise was irritating. Having walked 18 miles we wanted an early night. Spoke to staff who said it would go off after the bar shut., it went off at 11.20. We got woke up with a fright at 6 am when it started up, louder then previously.we couldn't relax in that the room would have beeroom. Evening meal wasn't good. breakfast poor. Read less

Response from The Kirkhouse Inn:
As stated by the guest this is a lovely room however unfortunately hotels do need cooling systems for the cellar and fridges, these are on time clocks and switch off at 11pm and on again at 8am. We have an award winning chef and seldom have any complaints about the quality of our food and in particular our breakfast, perhaps the standard of the continental breakfast was not to the guests liking and for this we can only apologise.
