The White Hart is well-located on the A12 for easy access to the coast, with no discernible road noise from our room, which was an annexe to the rear. On arrival, we appreciated being served an excellent lunch, even though the restaurant was full. The cooked breakfast was very good in pleasant surroundings, and the evening menu was also very good. The room was not luxurious, being dog-friendly, but perfectly acceptable and comfortable with a great view over the estuary. Read less

Likes:
The situation and river views and walks. Food and decor in restaurant with Christmas decorations made a lovely atmosphere. We brought our family for lunch and the grandchildren loved the tomato soup .
Dislikes:
Would love to see bedrooms and bathrooms given a facelift when budget allows. But it was warm and comfortable and so quiet which we enjoyed.

The White Hart Inn is a traditional Suffolk country inn offering an air conditioned restaurant serving fresh home cooked foods sourced and produced locally. Award winning ales and beers from the famous Adnams brewery based in Southwold, are on tap!

En-suite accommodation with views over the Blyth Estuary make for the perfect location to base a weekend break or holiday, perfect for bird-watchers and walkers, and within easy reach of Ipswich, Norwich and the picturesque villages making up the Suffolk Heritage Coast.Situated next to the A12 in the village of Blythburgh, visitors are frequently surprised by the magnificent view of the River Blyth at the rear of the pub; the White Hart offers everything you could want from a country inn!. The inn dates back to the middle ages when it was a court house. The building is famous for its large expanse of carved oak beams throughout the bar area.

A former courthouse dating back to the 16th century, the White Hart Inn retains a number of fine original features, including ornate beams in the bar area and a large, handsome inglenook fireplace.

The White Hart is situated in an area brimming with history and natural interest. The A12 provides quick and easy access north and south, while a short distance to east and west respectively are the resort of Southwold, equally interesting to the holidaymaker and the historian, and the fine old market towns of Halesworth, Bungay and Beccles.
