The welcoming and friendly attitude of all of the staff from the minute we arrived until we left. There was a nice balance between formality and informality making us feel that we mattered. Good food.

Surrounded by idyllic countryside and laced in history this Inn is owned by Executive Chef David Newstead, having worked across the world with the rich and famous he now brings his talents to this beautiful building just outside the historic town of Bury St Edmunds.

The Inn is a gorgeous Grade II listed buildings with all modern conveniences for your comfort. Located in the pretty and rural village of Ixworth, just outside of Bury St Edmunds and with the stunning Suffolk coast and historic towns of Cambridge and Norwich less than an hour away.

The Inn is newly owned and managed, offering a new and fresh style throughout the property that is already full of character. David Newstead MWMCA, is a London trained Chef who has held positions as an Executive Chef in London, Saudi Arabia, and Moscow, as well as being a personal chef to celebrities. With David Newstead in place the Inn has won numerous awards, including from Theo Paphitis of Dragons Den, with praise across the country and press features acclaiming their success.

Vegan and vegetarian menus are created with the same attention to detail and gluten free diets are prepared with ease.

Children are very welcome, with a special children's menu, plus the grounds back onto a play park. With ten pin bowling, soft play and roller skating, swimming pools, and lots of places and parks to explore just 15-20 minutes away.
