This is an old pub building located in a residential area. You might expect some noise from the pub - not that it would bother me - but I heard nothing.I came from Denmark to listen to The Dublin Legends at G Live 200 yards pleasant walk away. They don't serve breakfast, but they directed me to Cote's Restaurant further down the street, where I got full English breakfast. Don't stay here if you like the grey concrete that you can find everywhere. The building is a little worn. Read less

Friendly staff. I would like to stay there again. Guildford is a lovely town with lots of typical old English buildings, and the landscapes surrounding Guildford are beautiful.

We could not stay: the mattrass was worn out, the bed sheet was too small to cover the bed (singel bed sheet for a double bed), there were dirty spots and holes in the carpet, there were cobwebs on the inside of the window, the tub was dirty with adherent old soap incrusted in it, there were no toiletries except body milk and empty bottles of shampoo in the shower, one of the bedside lamps was not working. Only good thing: the maid in the bar was kind and helpul and we did get a 80% refund. Read less

"Couldn't Leave Quick Enough!"
Awful. Disgusting and Filthy! We did not notice how bad it was because we arrived late and went straight out to dinner. We returned late and slowly noticed how filthy the place was, the bedbugs were the final straw. There was no obvious way to contact someone to help us. We called around for another hotel but we could not find someone who could take us or could not get through because it was late at night. We spent the night awake on the bathroom floor-it was the furthest away from the bedroom. Read less

The Albany is Guildford's is an independent gastropub, offering the best in home-cooked fresh food, fine wines and real cask marque ales. Whether its our relaxed lunchtimes, contemporary dining in the restaurant, the buzz of the busy bar or a cosy Sunday on our sofa tasting our delicious traditional roasts, we have something to offer everybody.

All rooms come equipped with Television /DVD players, tea & coffee making facilities. We are proud to offer the most cost-effective rooms in Guildford town centre, close to all shopping, London Road station and G -Live.

Please note we are a town centre pub and unfortunately we don't have our own private car park. However there is plenty of on metered street parking. We recommend parking in the covered G-Live carpark (accessible from Dene Road). There are other car parks also, for example at Castle Hill and Bright Hill, so plenty of choice. Parking at G Live is just £1 from 6 p.m. overnight to 8 a.m. and a short walk to the Albany.

As we are just around the corner from a variety of venues for breakfast (Bills, Giraffe and a host of coffee shops), we offer room only with no breakfast served. All guests staying at the Albany RECEIVE A 25% DISCOUNT ON FOOD PURCHASES (LUNCH OR DINNER OR BOTH) AT THE ALBANY - MONDAY TO SATURDAY ONLY, adding still better value to the already most competitively priced rooms available in Guildford town centre.
