We arrive late afternoon on a Friday and were warmly welcomed and shown to our room. The room was clean and well furnished. We had dinner and breakfast, both of which were served quickly and were to a high standard, particularly the steak which was one of the best I have experienced. Read less

Dislikes:
We had difficulties getting to our room one night as we return after midnight unaware that the building was locked. Thankfully we bumped into a member of staff who let us in.

Nice free toiletries and good tea and coffee making facilities including decaff coffee. Friendly staff. Good arrangements for late return after the wedding.Adjustable heat in room.
Dislikes:
Something in room seemed to set off a type of allergy, needed to use hankerchiefs a lot.Some decor needed upgrading and one or two of the smaller things e.g. towel rail, were broken.

Room two was dirty and smelly beyond words. It was full of the kitchen cooking smells of burning meat and fat. The TV had only one channel. The bathroom light went out a few seconds after it was switched on. There were cobwebs, dirt and dust everywhere. The room was small to being cramped. We left early and could not face breakfast, expecting the kitchen to be as dirty as the room. Read less

Actually, there was nothing we liked and we are seasoned travellers! For the money, it was a complete waste of our time.
Dislikes:
This is a case of feeling bewildered as to why responsible people can be allowed to describe the rooms as luxurious.

Conveniently located opposite the Haslemere train station with historic Haslemere only a moments walk away.
Additionally, eight beautiful en-suite bedrooms grace the first floor, each themed in a different type of wood. Each bedroom is well proportioned and luxuriously equipped with dark wood furniture, flat screen televisions, fluffy duvets, high speed internet and luxury en-suite bathrooms.
The garden behind the building is a secret hideaway. The two tiered alfresco table service dining area is a wonderful sun trap to enjoy a warm summers day and on weekends come and experience a traditional South African Braai (BBQ).
