The rooms are a good size, the food in the Thai restaurant was very good. Staff were friendly and the owner went out of her way to help with taxi arrangments.
Dislikes:
The first room we were given smelt smokey to us, the receptionest offered us another room immediately which was fine.

Accessed the room early as wedding was at 2pm and so was check in. Lovely room clean and bright with nice decor. Power shower was great for that sunday morning hangover!!!!… Read more

The hotel was local to the wedding just 2 mins down the road could not have been positioned better. When we got back in late the we could still get a night cap at the bar.
Dislikes:
Breakfast was not included, it was not the dearest hotel it was not cheap either. Also the heating came on at about 7am and the radiators made so much noise i thought the bath was on.

Our well appointed Star of Siam authentic Thai restaurant is the longest established Thai restaurant in the North East It caters for 195 persons giving magnificent views of Penshaw Monument and surrounding valley.We are open seven days a week, serving lunch and dinners, so whether it is a simple business lunch for two or that special occasion, our menus will suit all tastes.
