On the east side of the street stands the Stone House and northwards again are grouped a number of half timbered buildings, including The Gables (15th century), The Three Tuns (17th century) and the Bluebell with its high gateway, from the 15th century. Opposite the Guild Hall is The White Swan, a restored coaching inn, where it is thought that the poet Shenstone was inspired to write his famous line about 'the warmest inn'.
