I was there for our Company Safety Awards. Rather than drive back to my home in Glasgow after the event I booked a room at the hotel. The room was lovely and larger than expected. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was about the best I have ever had in a hotel and came very quickly after ordering it. For anyone wishing to explore the highlands or loch Lomond this is an excellent base or start point. Really impressed and will definitely be back at some point. Read less

The room was clean and well presented. The staff were great even though there was a wedding taking place
Dislikes:
There was nothing really we did I not like but at breakfast I would have enjoyed having a teapot instead of filling up a dirty cup for a second cup of tea. This could be classed as a personal thing.

Dumbuck House Hotel is an 18th Century Mansion House which sits on the gateway to Dumbarton, mid-way between Glasgow’s International Airport and the spectacular beauty of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. It was converted many years ago to accommodate 12 Guest Bedrooms. There have been additions to the original building, which include an annexe with an additional 10 contemporary styled bedrooms, two functions halls which can cater for dinner up to 120 people, with an additional 80 at night.

We are a short drive away from Glasgow Airport, allow 15 minutes for the journey, and a 10 minute drive to the banks of Loch Lomond and Scotland’s first National Park. Helensburgh’s elegant promenades and the shipping heritage of the Clyde are celebrated throughout West Dunbartonshire, and offer something to please every visitor within a 20 minute journey. Charles Rennie MacKintosh’s Hill House, the jewel in the crown of local architecture, can be seen.

Loch Lomond offers water sports and sailing from Balmaha harbour, at the other side of the Loch and the championship golf course at Loch Lomond Golf Club regularly attracts household names to world class golfing tournaments. Walking and Hiking enthusiasts have ample choice of trails, either forest or mountainous to suit everyone.

In Dumbarton itself, you can visit The Denny Tank heritage museum and Dumbarton Castle which perches precariously atop Dumbarton Rock.

Our Contemporary Restaurant caters for all with a fresh, varied menu with lots of locally sourced produce. A relaxing friendly atmosphere can be found in the lounge bar, where you can enjoy a quiet drink, or sparkling cocktail!

Any event can be catered for from functions, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings as well as business meetings, and we are also licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies.
