"pleasant stay with friendly staff, but facilities not as described"
Stayed for 5 nights at the Aldwich, first 2 nights in room 4 which had no outside windows and was dark and airless. Requested a move and was moved with no problem to a corner room. This was a great deal better. The location is near the sea in a quiet residential road. we used it as a base to explore the area and for this it was ok . However Bognor has limited eating facilities and it was necessary to drive to get a good meal Read less
Likes:
The owner and the staff were very friendly & the breakfast was good, with quick service.
Dislikes:
The Aldwick is a B & B , it is not a restaurant , and the bar is very limited and only open occasionally. the description in the advert needs changing.
Seagulls very noisy and give wake up at dawn

The Aldwick Rooms & Restaurant is close to the beach to the West of Bognor Regis town which is an easy walk along the promenade. There are delightful gardens, putting and parkland within a stone's throw of The Aldwick. Chichester is a brief drive or bus journey away where you can visit the historic cathedral city and watch a theatre show.

Truly cultural experience dominated by the impressive cathedral, with its spire towering over the Sussex plain, and home to the internationally renowned Chichester Festival Theatre. Experience the intimate yet friendly atmosphere of Chichester with its boutique shops, galleries and café style eating. Explore picturesque countryside and the chalk down-lands of the South Downs. Enjoy scenic coastal villages, sandy beaches, rugged shores and sheltered harbours. Immerse yourself in the culture, arts and heritage of our museums, galleries, theatre and festivals. Chichester City, cosmopolitan but cosy, traditional but quirky, fashionable but cultural, dominated by its magnificent 12th century Cathedral and fine Georgian shopping centre, Chichester offers an all seasons cultural and artistic experience.

So much in and around Chichester is unique - The hugely popular Festival Theatre, Pallant House Gallery, The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, or the more natural diversity of the South Downs, Chichester Harbour and the coast from Selsey to West Wittering.
