The hotel was near Keighley town centre where we needed to be
Dislikes:
We were on the top floor, not goo for my 6ft husband as there was a sloping roof, so to move around the room he was bent over and the TV was so low down you could not see it if laid in bed.
Response from Dalesgate Hotel:
Thanks for your comments, whoever designed the hotel did not take into consideration the headroom of anyone of average height or taller, unfortunately there is no "quick Fix" to resolve this. If you visit in the future please contact us in advance and we will try to allocate a room on the lower floors.

Dalesgate was a convenience stop for me as I was there to visit friends. As I travel alone, I saw the website said restaurant and bar snacks, which is obviously better for me. There was no such service and I was forced to sit alone in a nearby pub.The hotel was not as advertised. Read less

It was in a convenient place with a bus stop outside
Dislikes:
See above. The furniture in the room was a bit shabby. The sloping ceiling very inconvenient. The hir dryer di not work.
Response from Dalesgate Hotel:
Thank you for your comments, as I mentioned at the time we are currently in the process of having a new website designed as the designer of our current one died suddenly, we hope the new version will go live soon. When you mentioned on departure the hairdryer wasn't working I went & checked it. You may have noticed that the kettle & a fan were plugged into the wall socket, there was a 3rd plug by the socket, had you removed 1 & replaced it with the other you would have found the hairdryer worked

The two star rated Dalesgate Hotel is located 1.5 miles from Keighley town centre. This large, end of terrace stone house was originally the residence of the minister to the chapel which stood on the site of our new stone built extension.

Situated on the very edges of the Dales and Brontë country, only ten minutes drive from Skipton, the gateway to the dales, The Dalesgate Hotel offers the ideal base for both business and pleasure, long or short term. The hotel is the ideal base for exploring Bronte Country and neighbouring Haworth.

Locally there is a steam railway in Keighley. We are fortunate to be located near to several golf courses and our location means we have easy access to the M1 and M65 motorways.

We have a well-stocked bar where you can relax or choose a wine from our extensive list.
