Great room. Good breakfast. Super home brewed beer.
Dislikes:
Only downside was not being able to eat at the restaurant. It would have been good on booking to have received a note to say restaurant is popular and it would be adviseable to pre book.

We were warm and cosy overnight in our room. The beds were lovely to sleep in and duvets great to snuggle under. Dinner and breakfast were great meals too
Dislikes:

"Where is the breakfast?"
My husband was attending a conference at Lydiard House over the weekend and I planned to visit the area with dog in tow. The Red Lion was ideally situated for both - the Thames Path, Avebury, Royal Wootton Bassett, Marlborough and Cirencester are all on the doorstep. And Cricklade is a charming town. Read less

Despite initially being shown to the wrong room, the staff quickly made up a spacious courtyard room for us. A large comfortable bed, large bathroom, good tea & coffee making stuff, free wifi, fridge.
Dislikes:
No breakfast. 9am sat down. 9:10 ordered. 9:30 delay as chef stuck in traffic. 10am chef arrived. 10:10 sorry 15 mins more to wait - chef overslept. We left hungry & cross.

Our 5 en-suite bedrooms are newly decorated and spotlessly clean. Crisp white linen, bright white towels, comfy beds, power showers and endless amounts of steaming hot water to help relax and de-stress after a busy day.

Should you be travelling with "mans best friend" then please ask about our 2 dog friendly rooms. All we ask is that they leave the river and mud behind them before checking in.

Roaring log fires, historic bric-a-brac, 10 real ales and ciders, unique guest lagers and beers from around the world, a fabulous pub garden and a warm welcome. These are all parts of what makes the pub so special.

With the steady decline of the classic British pub the Red Lion stands out as one of a few true free houses, you only need to look at our daily changing list of beers to see this.

Food and eating out are very much a part of our society now and the Red Lion offers something for everyone from classic pub food to modern British dishes. Whether you are looking for a casual relaxed meal in the surrounds of a buzzing atmospheric pub or something a little more elegant in the adjoining restaurant we can cater for you..
