The Conigre was very welcoming and very clean. Lovely thick white clean towels and crisp white sheets. The breakfast in the morning was lovely, cooked to order and plenty of choice. excellent value
Dislikes:
We had the family room: They need a new camp bed for the children as the springs have gone and the mattress folded into a V when lying on it & the Hot water pressure in the bath room was poor.

The Conigre Rooms and Restaurant is a charming Grade II listed 400 year old farmhouse, converted to an 8 bedroom property & restaurant. The property is family run and aims to offer friendly service in a relaxed environment. We have eight individually decorated ensuite bedrooms, five doubles, one twin and two singles, each designed for your comfort; whether visiting on business or pleasure. The main house has three bedrooms, all on the first floor. Our converted Stable Mews offers a further five ground floor bedrooms.
The property has an excellent restaurant offering contemporary menus using local produce where possible. We offer a competitively priced midweek menu, 3 courses for £21 and an a la carte menu on Fridays and Saturdays. Please note that bookings are essential and that the restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings. We have a comfortable bar and a guest conservatory to enjoy the views of our peaceful garden.
The hotel has a large function room which is ideal for special occasions or a light, airy environment for business meetings and conferences. We specialise in small, private functions, where we are able to offer exclusive use to our guests.
We are located on the outskirts of Melksham, close to the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. We are situated within a 20 minute drive of Bath, Bradford on Avon, Trowbridge, Lacock and Castle Combe. Longleat, Salisbury, Bristol and Swindon are all within easy reach. We are 15 minutes’ drive from Junction 17 of the M4 motorway.
Free wifi is available in all bedrooms and throughout the house.
Wherever practical produce used in the kitchen has been sourced locally. Low energy lightbulbs are used throughout the hotel, food waste is composted, recycling of glass, paper, cardboard, cans and plastic.
