The George and Dragon is a 16th century coaching inn, still displaying the original beams with the carved Tudor rose and large open fireplaces. The rooms are warm and cosy with wooden floors and antique rugs, candlelit tables and crisp white linen for the tables.

It is part of the best inns to stay in England, and I agree with this. It's a nice old building. It makes the room a bit unusual, with bathroom and toilets private but separated. Only unpleasant thing, the carpet in the room and corridor is rough. But all is organised so that you would feel comfortable. Bathrobes are available to go from your room to your bathroom.
It is a good idea to have dinner in the pub, and the breakfast is very good. Read less

Dinner was well cooked fish with an unimaginative choice of vegetables. Good breakfast, though I'm not sure I want the boss to be dressed in shorts and a t-shirt. Read less
