Likes:
All staff very friendly & helpful although they were very busy, both in the morning & at breakfast. Even though I arrived shortly before 9pm I was still able to have the enjoyable carvery meal.
Dislikes:
Wall was very thin against the next bedroom-I could hear the occupants talking. The TV picture was poor & kept breaking up so it acted more like a radio than TV. Uncarpetted stairs & firedoors noisy.

"Visiting Friends"
Arrived on the Friday at about 14.30 hrs (Check in was at 15.00 hrs so i could have a drink before i checked in.There was chaos at this place, the barmaid was moaning that she had not had a break for 2 hours, the bar was full of empty glasses. The bar itself was not very busy but when a friend of mine arrived he waited a very long time to get a drink.(There were max 4 people in the bar)The Landlord was not very helpful and seemed to not care about helping his staff out. This was mentioned. The fact that this was so disorganized and could be a beautiful place, just not managed right.
Response from The Stonehenge Inn and Carvery:
Steve, Thankyou for your comments, When you arrived at 14:30 you must have seen the 150 tourist leaving in there 3 coaches in the carpark. Glasses on the bar don't just appear from nowhere in an empty pub. I apologies that you felt the service was slow & the barmaids comments not entirely appropriate however staff do not begin shift until 11am and wouldn't be given breaks after just 3.5 hours at work . I will pass your feedback on to the site manager.

This family-run gem is ideally located to explore this fascinating area. The inn is only a few minutes' drive from Stonehenge world-famous monument and Visitor Centre. The cathedral city of Salisbury is close by. The Neolithic monument of Woodhenge is 550 yards away. The property is just a mile off the A303 road and by-passes the regular traffic jams on the A303 adjacent to Stonehenge as it is on the local route to the visitor centre.

The rooms at Stonehenge Inn & Carvery will provide you with a flat-screen TV. Featuring a shower, the private en suites also come with towels and complimentary shampoo and shower gel. The rooms feature tea/coffee making facilities. There are 3 family rooms, a double room and two single rooms. The restaurant is a lovely airy space with a 7 day a week carvery, an a la carte menu and a separate vegetarian menu. With delicious desserts, and a great choice of drinks, the restaurant is popular with locals and people travelling quite a distance to sample our fare.

Our bar includes BT Sports/Sky Sports, live music on a Saturday night and a charity quiz on Tuesdays. The first Thursday in the month brings a popular Open Mic night. The bar has a friendly, inclusive atmosphere and everyone is made very welcome. As the inn is in a rural area, dogs are very welcome too. There is a wide range of drinks including well-kept ales.

In summary, the inn is a great base to explore from, friendly and hospitable, with great value food and a lovely ambience.
