It was a bit of a whirlwind stay for me as I was at a wedding and had to check in between the ceremony and the reception and then came back very late. "Expected better for its price!"
Staff were polite and professional. Unfortunately accommodation let it down. Room was cold as no heating on so no choice to turn on/off yourself. No double glazing so this probably effects the temp. A little noisy also. Carpet old and dirty. Bathroom not totally clean or dust free! Not enough towels supplied. Mattress mega soft so woke with back ache! No lighting out the back so struggled to find the back door entrance and open door! Breakfast lovely however! Read less

The Grove Arms is situated on the A30 in the village of Ludwell, close to the Dorset/Wiltshire border and is only 2 miles from the historic town of Shaftesbury in the west or 17 miles from the Cathedral City of Salisbury in the east.

The Inn is well situated in the pretty village of Ludwell with stunning views from every angle, boasting 6 comfortable en-suite rooms, a perfect base from which to visit some of England's best treasures such as Stonehenge, The Jurassic Coast, and The New Forest.

The proximity to other attractions including Larmer Tree Gardens and Weddings, Compton Abbas Airfield and Rushmore Golf Course make The Grove Arms an ideal venue for a short break.

However the outstanding feature of The Grove Arms is our restaurant and the fabulous food. The menu is sourced from individual local suppliers and offers the best local produce available. It is prepared to order by our chefs from fresh produce which is delivered daily..

The pub is open seven days a week - Monday to Sunday Lunchtimes and Monday to Saturday Evenings. We are closed on a Sunday Evening.
